THE NEW. RETRO. MODERN.

An alternative spread that doesn’t sacrifice deliciousness for the sake of goodness

Just the other day, my health-conscious sister was telling me about the benefits of sunflower seeds as we munched through a big lunch bag of them. Then, would you know it, and email popped into my inbox from the PR company behind Sunfly Sunflower Seed Butter, and a batch of the good stuff promptly sent to me.

At first, I thought the products would be something nice to sample and then I’d get back to my good ol’ peanut butter. Alas, I am now hooked.

A European-based brand, Sunfly has officially launched in Australia, bringing with it a fresh approach to family-friendly nutrition that prioritises both safety and taste.

Cleverly tapping into the growing appetite for plant-based foods and simpler ingredient lists, with its products offeing a practical solution for busy households juggling school lunches, after-school snacks and the desire to make healthier everyday choices. And as Australian schools continue to strengthen allergy-safe policies, the arrival of Sunfly couldn’t be better timed.

The Sunflower Seed Butter range – which includes Smooth, Crunchy, and Cocoa-blended – uses sunflower seeds as its hero ingredient, creating spreads and snacks that are free from the top 14 allergens, including nuts, dairy, soy and gluten.

But the best part is that each variety of spread is so, so delicious! The Smooth and Crunchy varieties are perfect for insta-snacks, spread on cracker bread or toast (I personally love it on toast that’s cooled down, so a few minutes out of the toaster). And the Cocoa-blended variety is nice for a late night snack – where you want goodness – not guilt – just before bedtime.

As awareness of dietary needs take priority in each of us, flavour needn’t be sacrificed, and the Sunfly variety of sunflower spreads is proof of this. Give me more of this good stuff anytime.
