Welcome to Volume 2 of Found Objects, an audio odyssey that does what Dolby Atmos only attempts to achieve. Each day a new track will be added, building up to a compilation of remixes that go beyond the normal parameters of music mixing.

Slip on a pair of earbuds and be transported into worlds of aural delight and mad, mad sonic adventure. A world where cool beats are paired up with snippets of insane educational videos of the 1950s, vintage radio ads of the ’60s, and samplicious grooves of the ’70s and beyond.

Found Objects is a music compilation series that celebrates the return of the remix and the art of sampling (ie: found audio). Australian audio artist (and Cream magazine editor) Antonino Tati layers words of wit (and occasional dimwittedness) over alternative, preloved mixes of songs. As the Ultimate Eurythmics Archives writes, “it’s a series of imaginative audio collages that feel part remix, part radio drama, and part pop culture time capsule.”

Each track is a rather awesome head trip. Good to show off on the playlist. And the music featured is varied, with Volume 02 containing reproductions of mixes of songs by Kate Bush, David Bowie, Tori Amos, R.E.M., Air, Les Rythmes Digitales, Lily Allen, Malcolm McLaren, and more.

Kicking off the second volume is Soulwax featuring Chloë Sevigny delivering spoken word, with floral- and garden-themed samples to boot.
