'Love & Other Drugs' star to co-host Oscars

Out with the old, in with the new. In a bid to celebrate young Hollywood, ‘Love & Other Drugs’ star Anne Hathaway and ‘127 Hours’ lead man James Franco have both been confirmed as the 83rd annual Academy Award co-hosts. Following in the shoes of past Hollywood veteran hosts Alec Baldwin, Steve Martin and Hugh Jackman, it is claimed that Hathaway and Franco were selected as they personify the next generation of filmic icons. Who would of thought that the dropkick heartthrob in ‘Freaks And Geeks’ would team up with dorky Mia Thermopolis to not only have all eyes on them but also be nomination contenders for their aforementioned new films? Tune in when the awards air live on ABC, February 27th, 2011.
