THE NEW. RETRO. MODERN.

All fun and games

With the launch of the E3 Video Game Show this June, gamers around the world will be in pixel-made heaven.

Running from June 13-15 in Los Angeles, E3 2017 will be headlined by the unveiling of Nintendo’s latest instalment in the Super Mario franchise, Super Mario Odyssey, Mario’s upcoming sandbox-style adventure for the Nintendo Switch console. To top it all off, attendees will be provided with the first-ever opportunity to play the game.

Other highlights at the show will be the Nintendo Spotlight: E3 2017 video presentation, which will announce new details for Nintendo Switch games launching this year, the return of Nintendo Treehouse: Live @ E3, and tournaments for ARMS and Splatoon 2, which will both be livestreamed from the show floor.

For those with a competitive streak, The 2017 Splatoon 2 World Inkling Invitational is sure to get the heart pumping. Composed of four pre-qualified squid squads from Europe, the U.S., Japan, and Australia/New Zealand, the tournament will find teams participating in the first-ever international Splatoon 2 competition. The second tournament, the 2017 ARMS Open Invitational, takes place on 14th June and will feature Nintendo’s upcoming ARMS fighting game for Nintendo Switch.

As you can see, playing games is serious business. And for those lucky enough to be at E3, getting down to business has never been more fun.  Chris Prindiville
