See the new trailer for Blade Runner 2049
Helmed by visionary Canadian director Denis Villeneuve, fresh off his success of the sci-fi smash Arrival, Blade Runner 2049 – the sequel to the 1982 classic – looks set to blow our minds this October.
Harrison Ford makes a reappearance but man-of-the-moment Ryan Gosling is the main runner this time. The film will also co-star Jared Leto, Robin Wright and Dave Bautista.
Just landing on our desktop this morning is the brand spanking new trailer. (Check it out below).
The past year has seen a lot of nostalgia infiltrate our screens, big and small. On the awesome end of the spectrum, stream TV has given us such slices of retro excellence as Stranger Things, The Exorcist, and Twin Peaks (2.0). But then, there’ve been some pretty crap retro revisions, too (Fuller House anyone?).
The mix of good and bad nostalgia has us a little worried when it comes to contemplating the outcome of something as epic as Blade Runner 2046, but judging by the new trailer there’s not much to be concerned about.
Indeed, we’re quivering in our neo-noir boots in anticipation for the film’s release. Antonino Tati & Chris Prindiville
