Simply 'press play' for cool cosplay action…

It’s funny how comic and gaming conventions are so massive in modern culture, considering comic book and cosplay fans were considered major geeks a couple of decades ago. Alas, so huge is the phenomenon just about every major city on the planet hosts it’s own convention or expo, from San Diego’s original Comic-Con to Australia’s ever-expanding Supanova.

Now comes Press Play, a pop cultural celebration of all things cosplay, being hosted in Adelaide and Perth in May.

Cosplay champions, geek trivia pros, and retro games will come together this May to compete in some of the coolest of competitions, all vying for big prizes.

Get ready to pummel the competition with your superior knowledge of all things pop culture in a trivia challenge that’ll have minds working over-time with questions on everything from Harry Potter to Star Trek; Star Wars the Marvel Universe.

The winning team will score a private movie screening, with options from upcoming blockbusters such as Avengers: Infinity War, Deadpool 2, or Solo: A Star Wars Story.

So, comic and cosplay fans – start pulling together your most radical costume, get digging into the archives in the name of research, and get set for Press Play, on in Adelaide, Thursday 10th May, and Perth, Saturday 12th May.  Antonino Tati
