Kylie Jenner makes Forbes’ List of Wealthiest Self-Made Women
Say what we will about the Kardashian clan (and we do bitch a lot about them), it seems the Jenner offspring aren’t doing too badly in the respect stakes.
Kylie Jenner has ranked #27 on Forbes’ List of Wealthiest Self-Made Women, which includes Oprah Winfrey at #06, Madonna at #25 and Taylor Swift at #60.
At age 20 (she’ll be 21 in August), Jenner is the youngest person to ever be included in the prestigious list, with Forbes estimating her net worth to be around US$900 million.
Eight hundred million alone comes from her beauty brand, Kylie Cosmetics, of which she owns 100 percent, hence the ‘self-made’ criteria ticked big-time. Much of the remaining $100 million comes from endorsement deals within and outside of the beauty industry.
In an interview with Forbes, Jenner said she owed much of her success to her presence on social media, saying, “I have such easy access to my fans and my customers.”
Fellow Insta-lover Kim Kardashian was placed at joint 54th on the list with an estimated wealth of US$350 million. Ironically, Kim slid in between businesswoman Janice Bryant Howroyd and author Danielle Steele. Antonino Tati
