We’re used to seeing clever publicity stunts by film companies. Just last year the city of Sydney was littered with red balloons on strings stuck to drains in promotion of shock/horror flick It.
Now London goes one bigger, erecting a giant statue of Jeff Goldblum as Dr. Ian Malcolm to mark the 25th anniversary of Jurassic Park.
Yes, the massive statue looks way out of place with the Thames River as main backdrop, but this hasn’t stopped tourists and locals alike from parking their butts on deck chairs to enjoy sunrise and sunsets with Jeff.
The statue’s pose is supposed to emulate Goldblum’s strut in the original Jurassic Park movie.
Personally, I’d have preferred a better-buffed statue of spunky Chris Pratt, who stars in the latest film in the franchise. Lisa Andrews
