According to the Associated Press, actress Margot Kidder’s death was a suicide.
Kidder died in her sleep on Sunday 13th May, 2018 from “a self-inflicted drug and alcohol overdose”, according to a coroner’s report.

Margot Kidder will be fondly remembered as the woman who brought a touch of feminism – and certainly a feminine perspective – into the male-dominated newsroom, with Lois Lane being one of the key characters in Superman.
The actress also appeared in films across the genre spectrum including 1973’s murder mystery Sisters, and 1979’s original Amityville Horror. Antonino Tati
