John Lennon’s killer Mark Chapman denied parole for the tenth time

Mark Chapman 2016

Mark Chapman, the sick dude who killed John Lennon, has been denied parole for the tenth.

Chapman shot and murdered Lennon outside the Dakota Building in Manhattan on December 8, 1980. Lennon had been living in the building with his wife Yoko Ono, and was returning home when the gunman approached him.

Now 63, Chapman has been serving 20 years to life at the Wende Correctional Facility in western New York and will continue to do so until a further parole hearing.

The last time Chapman applied and was denied parole was in 2016.

“I am sorry for causing pain,” he has said. “I am sorry for being such an idiot and choosing the wrong way for glory.”

Chapman had formerly said he chose to kill Lennon so that he could “be somebody”.  Antonino Tati
