The Kitchen is set in 1978 and stars Oscar nominee Melissa McCarthy, Tiffany Haddish, and Elisabeth Moss as three Hell’s Kitchen housewives whose mobster husbands are sent to prison by the FBI. Left with little but a sharp axe to grind, the ladies take the Irish mafia’s matters into their own hands — proving unexpectedly adept at everything from running rackets to taking out the competition… Literally.

 

‘The Kitchen’ is in cinemas August 29, 2019.

    A washing machine – we learnt quickly what a European-style kitchen actually meant in the Australian rental market! We rented one all the same but I still find it odd to have a washing machine in the kitchen.

    MY dog’s squeaky toys that she constantly brings into the kitchen & squeaks to make sure that i don’t forget to feed her – not sure what the correlation is but obviously she sees a connection!

    My grandmother’s ashes, may sound macabre but I find it comforting and she used to love cooking so it’s a great place for her!

    A toilet. Yep, our kitchen has a cabinet with a fully functional dunny. There is no ventilation, so nobody is ever allowed to use it. We flush it every couple of days to keep the water fresh.
