Goodbye Red, Hello Hit!
Southern Cross Austereo (SCA) – owners of the Triple M and Hit networks – is rebranding its latest acquisitions RedFM and Spirit Radio, to align these with its already established stations.
SCA purchased a bunch of stations under the Redwave Media banner – previously owned by Seven West Media – for approximately $28 million.
RedFM and Spirit are primarily broadcasted to regional W.A. towns and remote mine sites; each also has a strong online presence.
All RedFM stations will now fall under the Hit network branding, while all Spirit FM stations will become Triple M stations, with changes effective as of 8am on March 16, 2020.
SCA insists that each station will continue to deliver strong local content and comprehensive coverage of news and community events across Western Australia.
