‘Ren & Stimpy’ to return to Comedy Central with new episodes slated for next year

Producers of The Ren & Stimpy Show have announced that the animated series will return to Comedy Central complete with new episodes, 25 years after ending its run.

‘The Ren & Stimpy Show’ was one of the most radical cartoon series to appear on television in the 1990s, going far beyond the cheeky shenanigans of ‘The Simpsons’ and even ‘South Park’.

Ren is an emotionally unstable Chihuahua who appreciates the good things in life while Stimpy his munted sidekick who is happy playing in kitten chow.

If you’ve not seen the show yet, you really ought to since It. Is. Hilare!

Owned by Viacom CBS, Comedy Central have seen a new creative team for a “reimagined take” on the legendary Nickelodeon animated series, and have ensure that the show’s original creator, John Kricfalusi, who was accused of sexual misconduct in 2018, will not be involved in the project.

News of the return of Ren & Stimpy comes after Comedy Central recently announced the return of Beavis & Butthead and a spin-off of Daria, which itself was a spin-off of Beavis and Butt-Head.

Confused yet? Don’t be. It’s all good fun. Just wait till they each hit Aussie streaming channels and PayTV and you too will be feeling “Happy, Happy, Joy, Joy!”
