Sydney gets to float its boat with a new pop-up Mov’in Boat Cinema in Darling Harbour

The team that has seen folks enjoy outdoor movies in bed (ie: Mov’in Bed) have secretly been working on Australia’s newest summer sensation.
Mov’in Bed now present a spectacular floating cinema experience – happening in the heart of Darling Harbour from December 2020 to March 2021.
Situated on Sparkling Cockle Bay, the spectacular 1000-sqm floating platform will feature 40 row boats for hire, 65 summer lounge beds, and two floating bar experiences.
On the shore, the full 4K 15-metre screen and 30 surround speakers will be creating an immersive show.
There are four spectacular ways to experience Mov’in Boat: hire a rowboat; laze on a queen-size bed on a floating pontoon; lounge inside the Star VIP area; or park a boat and watch from the boat area.
A main floating bar will offer a tailored selection of sparkling and premium still wines, slushie cocktails, beers, soft drinks and an innovative summer menu.
The opening night of Mov’in Boat will be on the 3rd of December and will feature fun classic Dirty Dancing on the big screen.
The rest of the season’s program boasts a variety of flicks including fan favourites Lion, Tenet, Interstellar, James Bond: Goldfinger, Matrix, Casablanca, The Broken Hearts Gallery, and Death on The Nile.
Cinema has never seemed so, well, moving.
